Gabri¨elle Rutten

Gabriëlle Rutten is the appointed successor to Gary Craig, founder of EFT, and director of Novet – The EFT Standard.

She is a physician who graduated cum laude and, as of January 1, 2026, has taken on the role of appointed successor to Gary Craig, assuming and continuing all of his EFT-related work and responsibilities.

As director of Novet – The EFT Standard, the training institute for the official EFT standards, Gabriëlle Rutten is responsible for the development and transmission of these standards.

She is a Gary Craig Certified Official EFT™ Master and has over 25 years of experience with EFT. Since 2009, she has trained professionals internationally and is known for her precise, ethical, and in-depth teaching of Official EFT according to the original method

Gary Craig, the founder of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), developed the method and continued to refine and expand it over several decades.

From 1995 until his retirement in 2025, he devoted himself to developing, refining, and making EFT accessible worldwide. From the very beginning, his ultimate vision was to create a more spiritual approach, inspired in part by A Course in Miracles. Because he believed the world was not yet ready for that approach in 1995, he first developed EFT Tapping. In 2014, he realized his original vision with EFT Meditation (Optimal EFT).

For the last twelve years of his career, Gabriëlle Rutten worked closely with Gary Craig. She contributed to his webinars and to the ongoing development of the Official EFT training materials. Together they co-authored Official EFT from A to Z, published in 2023.

In early 2026, Gary Craig passed away unexpectedly.

Gabriëlle Rutten is a physician (MD), graduated cum laude, and a Gary Craig Certified Official EFT™ Master. After working as a physician in an academic hospital and conducting clinical research, she devoted herself full-time to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). She now has more than 25 years of experience with EFT.

Since 2009, Gabriëlle has been training professionals internationally and developing programs based on the official Official EFT standards. As lead trainer and curriculum developer, she is responsible for the Gold Standard EFT Training, the Optimal EFT Training, and several accredited continuing education programs.

Together with Gary Craig, she co-authored Official EFT from A to Z and is the author of EFT for Beginners. She also co-hosted nearly all 170 Optimal EFT webinars and made substantial contributions to the development of the Gold Standard EFT Tutorial, the Optimal EFT lessons, and other Official EFT training materials.

In 2016, Gary Craig recognized her institute as an official Gary Craig Official EFT Training Center. Upon his retirement, he appointed Gabriëlle as his appointed successor and entrusted her with the responsibility of preserving, advancing, and further developing Official EFT in accordance with his original principles.
